Anticipation!

For those who were born when telephones still had cords that weren't for charging, do you remember the ketchup commercial about making us wait?  Essentially, a person was trying to get ketchup out of the bottle, but it was so thick that it moved very slowly.  The person who was holding the bottle knew it was worth the wait.  Well that is exactly how I feel about the retreat.  It seems like there is still quite a bit of time before it starts, but I have already turned up the bottle and am waiting for it.    I expect the Lord to do wondrous things during the retreat.  There will be healing.  There will be deliverance.  There will be revival.  There will be purpose.  I expect it.  The one thing I know about God, He is moved by our faith/expectations!

Looking Back ...Looking Forward

As we are preparing for the 2015 DOV Beach Retreat, I find myself reflecting on past retreats.  Each retreat has its own personality and memorable moments.  The one consistent thing is God always makes Himself intimately known to us.  Each person walks away with a clear understanding of His love for us and our love for Him.  What prompts these revelations?  It something different for each woman.  It may have been a song during worship or a note card from a sister at the retreat that touched us deeply.  It could have been the preached word or a prophetic revelation. It could have been during a quiet moment on the beach with Him.  The bottom line - we leave changed.

I am so excited for the upcoming retreat.  I can't wait to see what our amazing Father does!
